Missus is a Portuguese swimwear brand committed to sustainability, crafting all bikinis from recycled fabrics. As we prepare for the launch of a new collection, we’ve received a request from a client to enhance the conversion rate on their store and implement multi-language support.
To evaluate the store’s strengths and weaknesses, we conducted a thorough audit of all pages, including the checkout and payment pages. Following discussions about our findings and recommendations, we’ve begun implementing improvements to enhance the overall shopping experience.

The Challenge
Although the site boasted strengths, our objective was to implement a substantial number of improvements to enhance its overall performance ahead of the new collection release.
Mobile first focus
One major focus was on optimizing page content, with particular emphasis on the mobile version to minimize scrolling. This entailed restructuring content to ensure a smoother browsing experience on smaller screens.
Cross selling
To boost sales and enhance customer experience, we strategically implemented cross-selling techniques within the side cart.
This not only made it convenient for customers to discover useful accessories and related products but also increased the average order value.
Visual improvements
Additionally, we worked on optimizing images and product carousels across collection and product pages to improve user engagement.
Another significant aspect of the project was setting up multilingual functionality, ensured smooth transitions between languages for improved accessibility and user experience.
Overall, these optimization efforts were aimed at improving site usability, enhancing visual appeal, and facilitating seamless navigation for users across different devices and languages.
The journey
The project progressed in stages. Initially, we conducted a comprehensive audit, which led to the creation of a detailed overview outlining proposed improvements. These improvements covered general recommendations as well as enhancements to individual pages, including the Home page, Collections page, and Product page.
Additionally, we implemented a side shopping cart featuring a dynamic promotional steps module, along with an upsell block, to further enhance the shopping experience and increase the conversion rate.
