The Challenge
Pulse4all was operating multiple storefronts using a fragmented system that combined WooCommerce and Circularly, with additional Stripe integrations. This hybrid architecture introduced several critical issues:
- Design inconsistencies between front-end and checkout flows.
- Technical misalignment between product variants/SKUs and their inventory sources.
- Customer support inefficiencies due to data split across platforms.
- Complex subscription management, limiting scalability.
- Multiple backends requiring duplicated effort and ongoing maintenance.
Circuly, while powerful, proved to be overly complex for Pulse4all’s needs. Every day operational tasks required workarounds, making subscription management harder rather than easier. WordPress introduced constant instability – plugin conflicts, performance issues, and ongoing maintenance overhead. Data lived across multiple systems, creating friction for customer support, reporting, and fulfillment.
Additionally, Pulse4All wanted to prepare for expansion into new European markets while keeping brand consistency, performance, and regional compliance intact — a tall order given the limitations of their current stack.
The Journey
After evaluating the options, Shopify Plus emerged as the clear foundation. To support Pulse4All’s subscription and regional payment needs, we sourced and implemented JUO, the best-fit subscription solution capable of handling Shopify-native checkout alongside iDEAL, Mollie, and Stripe-based legacy billing.
Strategic Platform Migration
- Integrated Shopify Payments and Mollie for regional compatibility (e.g., iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA).
- Maintained existing Stripe billing for legacy customers while routing new subscriptions through JUO.
- Set up dynamic workflows per country using Shopify + JUO based on local payment preferences.
- Established country-specific tax rates
- Connected all tracking pixels, analytics tools, and forms needed for ongoing marketing.
Tailored Payment & Subscription Setup
- Integrated Shopify Payments and Mollie for regional compatibility (e.g., iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA).
- Maintained existing Stripe billing for legacy customers while routing new subscriptions through JUO.
- Set up dynamic workflows per country using Shopify + JUO based on local payment preferences.
- Addressed the UK-specific BACS payment limitation by offering two go-live options: defer UK launch or launch without BACS temporarily.

Pulse4all is nearing the completion of its transition to a fully unified Shopify Plus ecosystem. The final phase focuses on migrating the remaining front end and customer care center from WordPress, creating a scalable and regionally compliant platform that supports subscriptions, international growth, and operational efficiency—while delivering a seamless experience for both customers and internal teams.
This transformation is supported through a successful ongoing monthly retainer with THAILS, ensuring continuous support, optimization, and readiness for future market expansion.
