The Project

We partnered with Pluck Tea to refresh and optimize their Shopify store, focusing on upgrading their Empire theme while maintaining the existing functionality and design. This project was driven by the goal of enhancing the user experience, aligning the theme with Pluck Tea’s updated branding, and implementing advanced customizations to support their e-commerce strategy.

Theme Update and Branding Refresh

To kick off the project, we updated Pluck Tea’s Shopify store with the latest version of the Empire theme. This update not only ensured compatibility and performance improvements but also allowed us to incorporate Pluck Tea’s refreshed branding seamlessly across the site.

UI/UX Enhancements for Smooth Shopping

We focused on optimizing the user interface and experience to create a frictionless shopping journey. Key improvements included:

  • Streamlined Product Variations: We optimized the display of product variations, making it easier for customers to select their desired options and add items to their cart.
  • Upgraded Side Cart with Upsell Feature: The side cart was enhanced with an upsell functionality, encouraging customers to add complementary products to their order, increasing average order value.
  • Dynamic Free Shipping Tier: We introduced a dynamic free shipping tier that calculates thresholds in real-time, motivating customers to make larger purchases to qualify for free shipping.

Advanced Subscription Management with Recharge

To enhance Pluck Tea’s subscription offerings, we implemented advanced customizations using Recharge. This included tailored subscription flows, an improved user interface, and new features designed to boost customer retention and satisfaction. These customizations provide subscribers with a seamless and personalized experience.

Dedicated Matcha Category Experience

Recognizing the growing popularity of Matcha, we developed a dedicated landing page and designed new product and bundle pages exclusively for this category. This focused approach creates an immersive and engaging experience for customers exploring Pluck Tea’s Matcha offerings.

Seamless Loyalty and Reviews Program Migration

We successfully migrated Pluck Tea’s loyalty and reviews programs from Raleon to Stamped, ensuring a smooth transition without disrupting the customer experience. Along with the migration, we overhauled the system to provide improved functionality and user engagement.

Revamped Email Marketing with Klaviyo

To align with the store’s updates and branding refresh, we revamped Pluck Tea’s email marketing using Klaviyo. We created engaging email flows and templates, including:

  • Welcome Series: Personalized introductions to welcome new subscribers and customers.
  • Abandoned Cart Reminders: Gentle nudges to encourage customers to complete their purchases.
  • Post-Purchase Flows: Nurturing customer relationships, building loyalty, and driving repeat sales.

All email templates were designed with Pluck Tea’s refreshed branding in mind, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand experience across all touchpoints.
